What they say about Expressive Arts......
"I remember the excitement walking into the expressive arts workshop, and leaving as a much calmer person. As someone who loves art forms, I enjoyed the different techniques that was applied to bring understanding about self and to be connected to oneself. This was both a learning and a fun experience. Furthermore, it was also an opportunity for me to learn further about expressive arts."
- Hiba, Clinical Psychology Graduate
I was amazed by how art offered me a way to share my stories and bring insights into my life experiences. I guess... art is close to my heART. I also found great joy in witnessing how participants held space for each other during the session, which gave me a sense of connection.
- Tyan, Registered & Licensed Counselor

Translate: In today's fast-paced society, we're all caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, often neglect and forget our true selves. But in Expressive Arts therapy, we can drop the facade and express ourselves without fear of judgment. Through art, like painting, dance, music, play, and writing, we can find a way to release our emotions and heal from within. It's a unique form of inner dialogue that helps us explore and express those deep feelings and experiences that are hard to put into words.
- Ying Qi, School Counsellor in China; IMU Counselling Graduate
It was my first time doing expressive art and also getting to know more about expressing one’s inner thoughts with art. Being subconsciously carried into sketching and doodling random things on a blank piece of paper. Slowly filling up the gaps and finally realising what you truly are. Humans are always in denial including me. I have always denied that I was a workaholic until I had the chance to try out this activity. Ive managed to acknowledge my shortcomings and that I was indeed what I am. I believe what I had to do along was to acknowledge, accept the fact and how to move on to be a better me. I would encourage others to carry out this activity to understand yourself in a way that you might never know of until now
